The ICPS is a conference organized by students, annually taking place in August and gathering about 400 students from nations around the globe. Lectures held by students and invited guest speakers are a main part of the conference, as well as poster presentations and excursions to research facilities.

Besides the scientific program, the conference offers the opportunity to get in touch with the host country's culture and history. Finally, social activities give the participants the possibility of intercultural communication, cross-border collaboration and exchanging ideas.
