The 14th of october, there will be a physics colloquium with a lecture by nobel prize winner Frank Wilczek, known among other things from the time crystal.
Abstract: The fundamental laws of physics have the strange feature that
they look the same (to a very good approximation) if you run time
backwards. The observed universe has the strange feature that things are
moving as if they're under the gravitational influence of an otherwise
invisible substance. Remarkably, theoretical ideas that were developed to
solve the first problem also solve the second. If they're right, the substance
is a provided by a new kind of particle, the axion. with specifically predicted
properties. Technologies and instruments capable of testing this
hypothesis are being developed by a large community of physicists around
the world
