The rapid adoption of smart phones and mobile internet has changed the way consumers use their mobile phones, and at the same time Near Field Communication (NFC) has reached maturity and are gaining handset support from mayor handset manufacturers. NFC makes it possible to make a mobile telephone behave as a contactless payment card, however it also introduces new technical and business challenges.
This presentation covers the current state of mobile payment technology, how end users will use their mobile phones to pay, how the NFC ecosystem works, and how NFC leads towards a new age of the “physical internet”.
